Suilan, Mellonamin!

Still, my obession with Rising Force stil hasn't abated. *sigh* A lot things happened... Some good, some bad, but most of them are opportunities. And to a good man, there's no such thing as 'wasted' opportunity. Fortunately, I'm not a good man. I'm a bloody tactician, for crying out loud, I create opportunities! So, those aside, here's a quick run down. Monday: I saw Rain. That's big enough news to merit a whole paragrah, but I'll restrain myself. Next, tuesday: Midterm Exam in DBMS, Lecture then Lab after a thirty minute break. Oh, and Gilmore Girls was on Channel 23. It was a nice, refreshing break. Wedensday, Midterm Exams in Rizal, and we recieved an extra task to compensate for the lost field trip. Thurday, we passed the extra article, which I will post a bit later. Friday: That's today. I'm hoping to be level 24 in RFOnline, as well as regaining the lost Disena I'm spending.
Well, that's that. Next:

A Night in Austria: How Rizal sired Hitler
By: Erik Gaius L. Capistrano
Dr. José Protacio Mercado Rizal y Alonzo Realonda. Philippine national hero, foremost literary prodigy of his time, and a known womanizer (Albeit some claims that he is gay). Der Fuehrer Adolf Hitler. Leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP), better known as the Nazi Party, and, through his decisions, killed a huge amount of people in his lifetime. With the huge paradigm shift concerning their personalities, ideals and the result of their actions, it seems impossible that the two persons can actually be related, much less father and son, yes?

Wrong.

It seems that there’s a quite a bit of substance to be seen when one digs deep enough, and since I’ve been looking into the matter for three days now (in the Internet, the College Library and even once in the Rizal Shrine), I’m confident in the information I gathered. The quickest way to prove that Hitler is related to Rizal is, of course, through his parents. Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, which means that he was probably conceived sometime in August 1888. Incidentally, Rizal was in Europe from May 24, 1888 until October 1891, traveling from London to Ghent. Rizal did pass through Hitler’s hometown, Linz, and even stayed there long enough for him find his missing diamond stickpin. It was found by a maid in the hotel he stayed in Brunn. Coincidentally, it was written in Hitler’s biographies that his Mother, Klara Polzl, became a maid at one time.

It’s also glaringly obvious that Maria Clara in Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere isn’t pure Filipino. Did you notice? Maria Clara. A reference to his relationship with Klara Polzl? Also, the description Rizal gave about Noli’s female protagonist was a bit European too. It’s also a known fact that Rizal finished Noli Me Tangere in Berlin. Berlin, Germany, Europe.

That, I think, is the rationale behind such a fantastic claim based on information that can be gathered from any High School textbook on Rizal and any good biography of Adolf Hitler. Naturally, this can only be done through selective use of the evidence, but it does make for an amusing piece of historical fiction. It’s interesting what a night of “unwinding” might actually mean, yes? Those aside, I have read a few excerpts in Maximo Viola’s journals about his travels in Austria, and it did talk about Rizal meeting someone, I quote, a figure of a temptress in the form of a Viennese woman. More evidence?

Nonetheless, Rizal further uncovered some truths while on his stay there in Austria: The inspiration the towns and scenery of the country provided adequate ambience for Rizal to finish his first Novel Masterpiece, Noli Me Tangere. He realized what the Filipino people should be enjoying, what the Spaniards is actually doing to the country, in layman’s terms, Jose Rizal saw the bigger picture while in his travels in Europe. His drive for knowledge and passion for his parents led him to be the only national hero in the whole world to wield a pen instead of a sword.
So, is Hitler truly Rizal’s progeny? Maybe, maybe not. But either way, Rizal is Rizal, and Hitler is Hitler. It doesn’t change the fact that Rizal’s works saved his country, while Hitler’s ruined his.

"My head hurts" ~ Boogie

Suilan Mellonamin,
Do you know what gender is the computer ?
I found this wonderful joke, thought might give you a laugh.

An English teacher was explaining to his students the concept of
gender association in the English language.

He stated how hurricanes at one time were given feminine names and
how ships and planes were usually referred to as "she". One of the
students raised their hand and asked - "What gender is a computer"?

The teacher wasn't certain which it was, so he divided the class into
two groups, males in one, females in the other, and asked them to
decide if a computer should be masculine or feminine. Both groups
were asked to give four reasons for their recommendation. The group
of women concluded that computers should be referred to in the
masculine gender because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the
time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited
a little longer, you could have had a better model.

The men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definitely
be referred to in the feminine gender because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers
is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for
later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself
spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

Who is right the men or woman?
Thanks

Regards
